The Metaphyseal Centering Technique (MCT) for Reverse Shoulder Replacement Surgery

by ISERF - Idaho Shoulder & Elbow Research Foundation | 7 years ago

The MCT is a method for improving humeral component positioning during reverse shoulder arthroplasty. The technique allows the DJO AltiVate reverse shoulder components to be used as a platform system. This technique facilitates conversion from anatomic to reverse shoulder arthroplasty--and vice verse--without the need for altering the humerus bone in any way in cases where revision arthroplasty surgery is required.
