Maina Gielgud underwent a hip resurfacing operation in 1999 after suffering intermittent hip pain. As a professional ballet performer, Maina still dances and is now a ballet coach. Her initial reservations were reassured after meeting Mr McMinn and she had a right Birmingham Hip Resurfacing (BHR) operation.
